Moniker Warehouse – San Diego – Event and Wedding Lighting

This was a Holiday party downtown San Diego at the Moniker Warehouse. There were approximately 120 people at the corporate party and we wanted to ensure that each part of the venue was festive. We strung Market Lights throughout the entire main room leading over to the stage. In addition we strung a strand above the bar. We needed to add more flair to the photobooth area, so we added blue Up Lights along the walls.

Bayview Room Marina Village – Wedding Reception – San Diego

The Marina Village wedding venue in San Diego is a gorgeous waterfront venue offering the perfect setting for Rachel and Jose to make this their special day. The reception took place in the Bayview room, which offers spectacular ocean views. The room has a plethora of oversized windows that offer plenty of natural sunlight to fill the room, complimented by the high ceiling to create a spacious feeling.

In the evenings, the sunset pierces through the windows that creates a warm orange glow that fills the room, perfect lighting that the photographer’s love. We strung market lights in a zigzag fashion pillar to pillar across the entire venue to add to this wonderful moment in the evening. The market lights were a perfect addition for this venue for many reasons, but primarily the Bayview room embodies rustic elegance with a touch of warmth and lots of personality, the market lights acted as a cohesive glue to bond all the elements together.  It turned out to be a spectacular evening according to the bride Rachel, “Thank you so much for all you did, the lights pulled it all together and it was exactly what i wanted! Everything was beautiful!”

Rachel and Jose had a simple, yet stylish décor style that worked perfect for the Bayview room. Special thanks to Alex Hurtado Photograghy and team for making the memories last forever with their gorgeous photos. We wish Rachel and Jose the very best in their future and thank them for allowing Brilliant Event Lighting to play a part in their wedding reception.

Engagement Party Luce Loft San Diego – Royal Blue Up Lights

In August, we had the opportunity to light up the night for Pa’Shana and Justin’s engagement party. The location of the venue was at the quaint Luce Loft. If you are not familiar with this venue, the Luce Loft is a beautiful vintage loft space located in the ball park district of Downtown San Diego. Luce Loft is a perfect venue for a wedding reception, corporate event, art show or birthday. You get the idea….

The couple requested royal blue up lights to create a club type atmosphere. We featured royal blue up lights against the walls on both levels to create a lighting sensation that would stimulate a fun and lively mood. When setting the lights up you could see the effect come into play immediately, even in the daytime.  In addition, we mounted some up lights to do a color splash against the front exterior of the bar to tie in the royal blue theme. Over by the DJ we set up a couple of lights on Sound Active mode, which triggers a color change per the beat of the music. As the sun set behind the cool Pacific, the Luce Loft came to life and the royal blue up lights and color splash effects came into their own.

The engagement party was a huge success and we are happy to have been part of such a beautiful occasion. To ensure this night would not be forgotten, Andrew Abouna Photography was there to capture every second of it. Andrew is highly professional and passionate about photography, which you can feel simply by talking to him.  He did a wonderful job capturing stunning moments throughout the evening. The engagement party was a huge success and we are happy to have been part  apart of such a beautiful occasion.

On behalf of Brilliant Event Lighting, congratulations Pa’Shana and Justin! We wish you the very best!

Wedding Lights Create Ambiance

Accentuate Your Venue with Wedding Lights

At your wedding you want to embrace the venue by offering décor that naturally complements and highlights specific points of interest.  Nothing does that better than wedding lights. The venue dictates which type lighting should be used, and let’s make sure it is not the other way around.  I will introduce two types of wedding lights that are certain to accentuate your venue.

We highly recommend Market Lights when you have a highlighted area of interest. Outdoor usage of these lights is the best use considering they radiate excessive light. Over the dance floor or reception tables are the most common use for the Market Lights. It’s the way they bring a sense of ambiance and transform your venue into a magical evening. The light bulbs have a warm translucent filament that glows throughout the night, reflecting off of the dance floor, windows and glassware that will make the venue come to life. Along with offering a wonderful color tone, they are a sure fire way to set your outdoor wedding on the right path.

When you have a reception indoors and you are looking to create an atmosphere that will produce an evening that you will never forget, turn to Up Lights.  These bring out the best in any indoor room by exposing those dark corners and bland walls.  Once you have added the perfect arrangement of Up Lights, this is no ordinary room. You have transformed the room into a place of enjoyment, happiness and excitement. Guests are compelled to let it all out when a room  has been tastefully accessorized with Up Lights. You can keep it traditional with a white Up Light display or if you want to keep your guests enthralled throughout the evening, you can use bright and vibrant color tones. Most couples prefer to use two colors Up Lights that alternate along the walls surrounding the venue. These are typically their themed wedding colors for the wedding.
