The Details
At an event the 2 most common types of lighting would be your decorative lighting and your functional lighting. There is a delicate balance between the 2 types of lighting. We want to be strategic with the way in which we execute the lighting, wanting to be sensitive not wash away any of the ambience of the decorative lighting that has created throughout event.
Your functional lighting would provide lighting for areas such as bars, buffet tables, dessert tables, safety lighting and cake tables. There are several different lighting techniques we use to light these areas appropriately. It is best to speak in person about this so we can make the best recommendation for your application at your event.
Some of the common functional lighting services used are Moon Balloon lights, Wash Lights, Light Trees, Market Lights and Chandeliers. See details below.
Light Tree
To provide a bit more light to areas that require more functional lighting like bars, buffet stations or dessert tables you might have, we use something called a Light Tree. It provides some nice direct functional lighting over those areas. I would suggest looking at the sunset time for your event and determine if you will need lighting after dark.
Wash Lights
Our wash lights are great for area focused lighting for 180 degree spread. We use Source Four par lights that come with a super bright 750 watt bulb. We typically use these on a dimmer so that we can get the lighting just right.
Moon Balloon Light
Moon Balloons are ideal for providing functional lighting for larger areas. They have a wider scope of coverage. The Moon Balloons also look great, and guests are usually fascinated by them.
Spot Light
Ideal for have a focused area illuminated. Most commonly used for a stage during a performance. We have follow-spot lights that a lighting technician would use to light a subject and then we also have a static spot light which would be set for the duration of the event, which is typical for a stage setting.
Chandelier
Chandeliers are an excellent decor item to create a sense of elegance in any venue. The sparkle shines throughout the night and serves as a beautiful enhancement in the evening.
Market Lights
Market Lights | String Lights are the perfect accent to an outdoor event venue. They provide a classic nostalgic touch to allow for an intimate evening.
